I was discussing this with a group of people in Sebilis today, I know during the classic era of the game if a ranger was groupped, and one of his groupmates died, as long as the ranger didn't cross any zone lines he or she would be able to use the track skill to find said groupmate's corpse. I have noticed that we are unable to do this on project 1999. After a quick search on the forums i couldn't find any discussions on this topic so I thought I would bring it up. Has this been talked about in the past? If not can this be made possible? If anyone else remembers this please chime in I am 100% certain tracking corpses was possible.

You can also track corpses of group members. You must have been in the zone when your friend died, and must now be grouped with them. If you stay in the zone, you will be able to track their corpse. If you leave the zone or camp, you will not be able to track their corpse. Also, you will not be able to track their corpse if the person reenters the zone.

only rangers get the filter .. therefor bards and druids cant set filter to distance ( and yes it has to be set for distance if your a ranger )
skill does increase your range. at skill 65 you can barely track outside of visual range but at skill 200 i can stand in the middle of most zones and track the enitre Zone ( a few zones are jkust to damn big ) about 6-7 k in either direction using the /loc points ( to frineds helped me test it in West Karana )
you will always be able to track group members no matter how far away . You can also track group members corpse as long as you in the zone when they die and they dont come back into zone, very useful.
any other questions?

In this particular discussion people are still saying you could track a groupmate's corpse and all these posts are from 2008 and later. Some were saying corpses could not be tracked at all, others were stating you still could under the same circumstances posted earlier.
