Dude just do a quick search of the forums and you would see this thread made at least 50 times. Apply yourself, use the tools on the website.

SK will be more costly to gear. They share a number of items with war that are not useable by Paladins and possess the juvenile allure of evil that makes them more popular than Paladins

Both get and hold aggro very well, but the beauty of the Paladin however is that they can get and build aggro on messed mobs without breaking mez.

Also, a human, erudite or dark elf SK will have the same xp penalty as a paladin. Only the ugly races (except dwarfs ^^) have additional penalties.

I am biased, but I would recommend Paladin for vastly superior aggro management/cc.

You didn't need to void the thread. Ymir is just being disagreeable ^^ Posting here is like fishing from a pier, some days you'll snag a pearl of wisdom from a benevolent merfolk, others you'll snag a crotchety old crab like Ymir.

Paladin b/c this way you can be a dwarf.

Seriously tho...stuns are your aggro machine and they do not break mez, which is huge. Also they can help an enchanter get back control of his pet when charm breaks, help a cleric get a heal off on himself when mobs rush him etc.

Root is great cc. Lull can be used for pulls (altho I don't rely on them). You can heal during downtime to help with the main healers mana.

You are an enchanters best friend.

But I am like melon in that I am biased. My main on live was a paladin.

I have a hard time finding tank replacements when i'm leaving the group so either is good, paladin definitely more rare.

Paladin stuns are awesome when fighting casters. Also saving a group member at 2% with LOH is a lot more fun than having your HT resisted on some mob.

I ended up asking a few high level Paladin/SK in game their opinion and got some really good feedback. Being that I plan on playing solely in a group setting I went with the Paladin. Thanks to everyone who did hop on and respond, I know as long time players having these questions asked again and again by new players could get frustrating!
