Default PSA: Always double check who you are trading to

Last night, I was doing a platinum transfer of 6530 (not a super large amount, but a reasonable amount), with someone of highly esteemed reputation, and I put the platinum in the trade window and hit trade pretty quickly. The trade window was up for maybe a second. I quickly logged onto my other character not thinking much, and the person who I thought I hit trade to asked when I was going to give them something to transfer. Doh!

Now, my fingers are crossed that a some obscure bug took place which caused the platinum to poof, but I am doubtful.

What likely happened was I traded the platinum to someone else close by accidentally, so my warning goes out: always check the name of the person you are trading to before clicking trade.

*April 30 Edit: I have learned from GMs that the character I accidentally gave money to is 'Ranbo'! Hopefully, you will contact me and be honorable with returning the money.
