Discord type server

I think we can all agree that red and boxes in general, at least until velious, is/are pretty stale. I was thinking about what the most fun part of a box is and for me it's that first month when everyone is new and he newb zones are packed. Why not have a perma death discord server with scoreboard etc.? Seems ez to do, have no gm intervention apart from hacking, prosper.

I mean obv to make it viable you'd need to fix the things that red needs fixed, but assuming that happened it seems like a fun server id fuck around on rather than oL.

EQ PvP isn't balanced, it's not meant to be a WOW style server where every class can compete against every other class. I fully expect such a server to be loaded with mages, wizards and druids. However, I doubt everyone would be playing it as a solo assassin and there would likely be cliques which would have melees / healers.

There's balanced and then there's bolts going through walls while direct damage doesnt (it was the other way around in classic)

Bolts going through walls rapes my immersion

I'm not asking anywhere for a perfect resist code as a deal breaker

I'm asking for non-classic things that change almost completely how the game is play to be addressed with simple fixes

A new FFA server, online for one week. Permanent death 1-60 PvP range limit. Highest level at end of 7 days gets AoN & cyber handy on Red.
