Default breakups

Hey guys, I just started on P99 a few weeks ago and I am loving it.

However, my girlfriend broke up with me two days ago. We have been dating for close to three years. I am very heartbroken and don't know what to do with myself. She won't even talk to me.

Any of you guys know what this feels like? This is the first time I've been through this and it is very hard. Looking for some advice/stories thanks!

Not sure if troll or throwaway, but if you don't obsess and emo mope forever you can eventually find someone who makes you happy in different ways, all chances are she wasn't god's gift to womankind anyway. Don't be a pussy

edit: cause of break up found

Is there a correlative relationship between you beginning playing EQ and your girlfriend getting pissed at you? Or did you do something else that's making her not talk to you?

EQ is a massive, unbearable time sink. After 3 years, if you could honestly say that you saw long-term potential between you two, then fucking ditch this stupid game. Just isn't worth it.

Promise you: if you let this relationship drift away, she'll find another dude, and you'll be wrecked with regret and despair. This is an emulated server that isn't going to last forever or something. Find something else to obsess over if you're hankering for an mmo to play. EQ is far and away the biggest waste of time for the least payoff.

Try to get her to play EQ with you if it's a deal-breaker for both of you. Or better yet, get her to start playing WoW with you or something-- it's much easier to break a non-game-player into WoW than a game like EQ which is almost entirely pointless, non-goal-driven, takes for-fucking-ever to do anything, and 99% of the non-end-game content is mindless grinding on trash mobs for trash loot.

In conclusion: EQ is ultimately a stupid game, good for little more than nostalgia, raiding and making game-related friends. I know it's hard to hear if you're in the throes of EQ addiction, but the girl is worth more than this game and its player base. Plain and simple.

Closest thing I've ever had to a breakup was the day my childhood dog died, so I'm pretty qualified to impart wisdom on the matter.

At least you'll never have to hold her hand and comfort her while the vet ends her life, as a tear runs down your neckbeard, and a faint and final breath leaves her cancerous body.

And you remember how she used to wake you up for school, and she'd be there when you got home, waiting at the door. Sometimes she'd go and put the leash in her mouth because she wanted a walk.

All the things you ever love are going to die, OP. Unimaginable pain and loss are always going to find their way into your basement. Try not to let them dominate your short, mortal life.

I suggest you play lots and lots of EQ.

Here is some advice on an unrelated but somewhat relevant topic. Never, ever, ask for help or opinions for a real life problem on these forums ever. You will only be flamed and trolled by everyone and their mothers. Seriously I wouldn't put it past Rellapse to call his mom and ask her to talk shit on the internet, it's the only way I could possibly see him having the toxic personality he does. (either that or he is six) Go seek the help of your family and friends, or a therapist, but never ever come here for help.

See Dredge for an example why.
