Default ESO Gameplay revolutionary?

Just wondering about eso gameplay. I don't have the connection to youtube the good stuff but I was wondering if it really is mmo style with elderscrolls combat ie. Sword swings only connect if you actually hit them and archery has real world physics behind it. Seems like a dream and waay too demanding on the average connection but I've seen a few posts here and there mentioning it was actually like this in the new game. Is this true?

If so, wow, I might be a little starry eyed here but I really think with a game like that we will see a revolution in gameplay yet again. Just like the changes we've seen come with every new generation of the gaming machine.

Thinking grand like 300 style here, a guild with tactics just steamrolling through the field with formations. If the game has mechanics like this it really opens the field of potential in mass combat.

If you've played it or done extensive research can ya let me know if this is happening? Thanks

How can you dumb down something that doesn't work? Or are you talking about the first darkfall..not the current piece of shit they try to charge people for.

beta was a huge letdown, i was a forumfaller for years and the beta felt forced and rushed, everyone agreed investors were breathing down their necks to get something out.

Yes...it could have been so good...and ended up so bad. If they had just communicated with us that would have made a big difference. I now have an unreasonable hate for the Greek people.

Shits been around since Neocron. Which I played version 1.0 of yo... Definately not revolutionary. I'm pretty sure I was playing it before 2002. It got re-released several times. Had a tough tough start, like 200 subs for a hyped up game from a small but not cheap studio. Played a bit in the beta-1.0 and payed for my accounts. Played a bit once they relaunched it. The world was really cool though. Just didn't play well at all.

ESO might be fun. But their balance and leveling formula is still shit and not immersive in Skyrim, though leaps and bounds better than Morrowind and Oblivion.

However I play TES games for lore/giggly quests. Not hack'n'slash.

If they make it work in an MMOFPS. I will be VERY impressed and call it revolutionary. Even if its not original.

I was like the #1 ESO fanboy until they showed both ESO and EQNext gameplay footage at pax(?) or w/e it was and EQNext just looked sooooo much better then ESO did.
