Default Everquest Next Poll

Hey Project 1999ers,

Some of us over on the everquestnext.com forums are trying to establish demand for a "Classic EQ" style server for EverQuest Next, in the hope of averting another casual MMO disaster. If you care about preserving the classic EQ experience, and bringing it to a new generation, please vote in our poll and share it around:

http://www.wepolls.com/p/20521024/W....d-server-rules

Thanks,
Fraxx

Never gonna happen.

EQ Next is being created with one goal in mind, and thats to attract as many players as a single game possibly can. They wouldn't waste their time with appealing to a niche crowd while making plans to be the next "WoW killer." They've abandoned almost anything that even resembles classic EQ.

In short, don't waste your breath.

Indeed. The goal of EQNext is to not recreate the classic experience, but create a completely new game experience. Frankly, that sort of thing is great for nostalgia, but nothing else.

Well I wish him luck, I doubt he is going to have very many people eager to provide funding to him.

Well, I don't know if anyone will know the true story with what happened at Sigil between him and MS. But he was given a LOT of cash to make Vanguard, and when it was all said and done millions of dollars gave him a barely functioning alpha of a game...there are also rumors that he was spending a lot of cash on a prescription drug habit.

The only fact that I really know is that Vanguard was a mess and although he had great ideas, he wasn't able to organize a team that could put them into action.
