Default Question concerning the Hide skill

How does it work exactly? Sometimes I hide and mobs con indifferent to me and other times they are still scowling, ready to attack. Is there a way to be certain whether or not hide will work in a given scenario?

Thanks [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

If you're behind them or not is the biggest factor.

You're thinking of Sneak ya moran.

I believe Hide is the same as Invis + IVU now, so if a mob sees invis or IVU then hide is no good.

Thanks for the info guys. Should what the mob cons to me be considered an indicator or is it kind of broken? THe reason I asked is because at one point I was hiding and a particular mob con'd indifferent to me, and then a minute later after unhiding and hiding again the same mob con'd KOS.

hide has the ability to "fail" usually works about half the time. best way to see if it was successful is to con a mob
