Player Made Tourneys?

BotB is fun.

Makes people train for PvP, squashes beef. Gives bragging rights, gives a chance for legit pvp with no zoning or cheese.

So many of these posts about variance and exp bonus to "grow pop for more and better PvP" make it seem like the majority of folks want to have some fun and legit pvp on this box beyond what it is now. But then many of these same people don't grow a sack and actually pvp when it comes down to it.

I understand these concerns are also in relation to pixel frenzy but let's focus on PvP for now.

So many shit talkers on forumquest. So many empty threats. So many e-peens flexing.

Good PvP to me is not spamming sunstrike/backstab on someone 8 levels lower than you trying to exp for some irrelevant yellow-text scoreboard.

Good PvP to me is not slaying low level players in ffa zones and shit talking in ooc.


Is this server so toxic and full of immature neckbeards that we cannot organize a collaborative weekly/bi-weekly fight club where the shit talkers and people who want to test their pvp skills against others can do so without interference?

To take it a step further, would it not be fun to be able to place bets on said fights, be it personal or guild wagers?

My guess is yes. Even though so many on best99 devote the lions share of their free time to this server, they would rather grief and cheese and keep the server toxic instead of joining together now and then in mutual guild/player rivalry to do something greater and more fun.

A man can wish and hope though. With such a small and devoted population we could bring new things to the box without begging and waiting on GMs to hold our hands and do it for us.



TL/DR- Would be fun to start a weekly/bi-weekly tournament for PvP where you can bet on the winner if you would like, or simply for bragging rights of being the best without waiting for BotB to come around.
