p99 patcher

Been a loooong time since I last played and got a new pc for christmas. After raging for a while trying to figure out windows 8.1 (staring at the screen like a retard looking for my program files) I got p99 working yay!

When I run my shortcut it goes straight to the eula i remember there being some sort of patcher that gave a server list and would keep your p99 files updated. I looked through the library and getting started menus but I can't find it, any help appreciated.

Not a big deal I can still log on but it would be nice.

1. Find your P99 folder
2. Find "eqgame.exe"
3. Create a shortcut for it (I put mine on the desktop)
4. Go to the shortcut, right click on it and select "Properties"

Something resembling this will appear (your folder path will likely be different to mine)..

Make sure to write patchme after the target. Apply the changes.

You can now use the shortcut to log in!... job done. No launcher required anymore! The only thing to be aware of is patch days, where you need to go to the News/Announcements forum and download the latest patch and unzip it to your EQ folder.

In case anyone needs it. If you're on Windows 8 you'll probably have to do a few cartwheels, press the right mouse button a few times and sit your cat on the keyboard for it to work.
