![]() It is now impossible to know what goes and what does not go, if you just want to play everquest and not spend time reading the forums for the daily rulechanges and precedence for who gets banned for what everyday.
Can we please have game mechanics adjusted instead of this nonsense pvp where it's about who brings most cameras to a fight and sends in the most petitions?

![]() You're right. I'm sad to see everquest ruined by bullshit.
Bans should be for people who exploit, rmt, 2box, threaten others irl and all that good stuff. Not for pressing your attack button or casting spells. If people should not be attacked when they are on LNS from pvp, then give them a divine aura that lasts until 5 minutes after they loot their items and is broken in case they use any ability or agro a mob. Hell, just make them ghosts so it's like WOW where there is no penalty for dying. Regulated playstyle based on subjective evaluations from GMs in each case and based on who wants to spend the time petitioning is just dumb. Everytime someone is banned for pvp, I think it is a loss to the server. It was dumb as fuck that Andis got banned for what happened, same with the others who suffered from it yesterday. If I log on and kill someone, I can't possibly know if he is on loot and scoot or not. Same if i zone into a new zone etc. There's just so many gray areas. The PNP is overall the same as making a law, that says you're not allowed to drive too fast on the highway, but there's no speed limit mentioned. Further, you'll get punished with the death penalty even if you did not know about it when driving too fast.

![]() There is some truth to OP's post...
At this point I have just logged off in fear of being banned for doing nothing but dying.

what do you do? wait 45 mins for a boat because that doesn't make sense might as well stay in zone or log? because if not you could be suspended for not scooting? there are just some grey areas in the rules is all. Regardless who OP is these are some problems affecting other players as well. The rules may be a good idea for the good of the whole server, but really need to be tweaked to become more accurate/efficient. As of now it has produced a new kind of grief... Someone zones in kills you tells you to "Scoot" for no reason then either leaves zone or logs off and has no original intention on Xp'in/camping that zone. but all the world would see is that you did not scoot and can possibly face a suspension. Now one may say well don't XP in that zone? why should I be told that I cant do something in a Video Game. The sole purpose of these damn things are fun, when you start adding unclear rules on how to play on what you can and can't do then that just causes confusion and simply put, takes the fun out of it. If the rules exist to force people to play nice then they should do just that not give a new opportunity at grief. That is the problem, the LnS policy has IMO <-- just created a new type of Grief.

Exactly. In this case for example, I buffed myself up while sitting in a group of guildies next to the zone line. I was about to leave even though we had the complete control of the zone and if anyone needed buffs they could just get it from another cleric, but apparantly, it was not good enough to not get "griefed." I didn't know what I could and could not do, and that's the point. This exact kind of gameplay makes me want to play other games instead, but I am sure majority of the people on this forum would be just fine with that, since I'm one of the most toxic and at the same time less skilled pvpers on the server. It's been about a month since i died pvp, so excuse me for not being extremely up to date on what rules apply in that case.

![]() You could just try not being a dick and attacking every naked person or lowbie you see. The PnP was put in place because people like Tune run around griefing anyone and everyone until they join Nihilum or quit.
