obscure music
just TODAY come across this band:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-54xkITei4 seriously off beat! gotta be one the greatest prog rock grps out there! this music is actually good. (most prog rock is very iffy) imo this is good music to play EQ to..... drummin!! (yes ive just had 4 black russians)

Nothing matches The Avalanches to me. When a group of friends decided they wanted to make a band, when they couldn't find instruments at a few garage sales, they bought 3000+ vinyl albums. Using these albums, they started to cut, edit, clip, and manipulate pieces of music to create brand new sounds.
For example, listen to the first few minutes of the above link, and then check out this link to some of the discovered samples used. | ||
