A lot of neckbeards are upset that it wasn't super violent like the original but that don't understand the social commentary of the movie anyways.

Good for you. I hear decent things. But I am just a fan of veerhoven's style of movie. It is too bad he only makes euopean stuff now. Starship troopers was fantastic.

I hear a big issue is that Detroit does not seem like a crime riddles cesspool. Why have a robocop without a crime riddled cesspool? The message changed to "drone warfare is bad mmmkay." The original robocop is still relevant in social commentary today.

The original Robocop accurately predicted futuristic Detroit, what with the bankruptcy and such.
