Game Mechanics: Slam

I am getting the error saying that i cannot hit a mob without magical weapon when i use slam. i have a magic weapon but not a magic gloves, and am told that it is based on the weapon. help?

Didt check code, but think it uses shoulders for magic check

It's shoulders (its a body check, despite the animation).
