Default 2h Blunt skill cap 252 vs 250?

Was looking at the wiki on Monks and noticed that there 1H and 2H Blunt skill caps are 252, so I checked Warrior and theirs are only 250. Was wondering what the reasoning behind that was? What kind of difference is 2 more skill points going to make when its already at 250?

If the wiki is right, it'll mean a higher ATK rating... which isn't bad to have at all [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Yeah I guess, but how much atk would 2 more skill points actually give?

I thought maybe it was like how bind wound works, where war / monk are able to to bind passed 50% hp cause they can get the skill like 5-10 points higher then everyone else. Thought maybe there was something specific that having 2 more skill points gave the monk?

It probably has something to do with roll mechanics. At 250 there's probably x modifier to a damage/hit roll upon swing, and beyond it there is probably some threshold that gets crossed that makes a big difference in the calculation. An example that I'm making up is, perhaps at 250 the bonus to chance to hit a level 60 mob breaks even with their innate chance to evade bonus, which means you are no more or less likely to hit them. With extra points, the roll crosses a threshold that puts you more likely to hit than if neither of you had any modifiers at all. Only slightly, but still ahead.

Just a completely unsubstantiated theory based on me trying to come up with a sensible answer to a pretty good question. I'd be curious to find out what the answer actually is.

Keke's right basically, your weapon skill affects your accuracy. It's your offense and STR that affects how hard you hit.
