![]() Hey folks. Going to join up on Red tonight to play on, either full time or while boxing blue and medding. Anyways, I have never, not once, played PvP in the EQ universe. What classes work well? How prevalent is the PvP in leveling areas? What about grouping? Can you kill group members? Does tab target select group members/other players?
I was thinking of rolling a caster at first in order to keep myself bound close by, be able to gate if need by, and the fact I will need less gear than a melee character. Any tips would be great in regards to PvP. Thanks! | ||

![]() Play whatever you like, don't go to Unrest unless you are looking for pvp, you can kill grp members, there are plenty of grps to be had. For tips, there are some pretty good threads, one I know was posted by Fame. Search around the forums.

![]() Welcome to red! You won't go back to blue once you've experienced pvp.
Some suggestions: A caster class is a good idea for the reasons you stated plus you will be more effective at pvp at lower levels. Find a group of people you like to play with and try to stick with them, friends go a long ways here. Try to level in more remote places unless you have a group and are prepared for potential pvp. Try to play the server with thick skin and don't take anything personal in pvp. Sometimes it can be cut throat. Those are just some basic tips, send me a tell in game on Rexx (I'm out of town until Monday unfortunately) and I will answer any questions you may have. Will come buff you and give you some starting plat too. Glad to see you here, have fun!
