I wonder how close this new movie is to the original story of the comic it's based on, it was one of Marvel's best stories in the original Uncanny X-men run, and still remains one of my favorites to this day.

Was kind of disappointing to see how much different the first 3 movies were, from the original comic series' up to that point in time, and being chronologically out of place when introducing new characters, not to mention totally derailing their origins' stories. Like how they made Juggernaut a mutant, not to mention much weaker than his comic counterpart. I think the original movies would've been alot more interesting had they actually stuck to the chronological story line.

Maybe we'll get lucky some day, and they'll do a movie version of the "Age of Apocalypse!"

starting from the first movies, it didnt seem like they expected the series to do well.. now it seems as though they are backtracking to try and fix all the crap that was put into the movies in order to make money, just like the first 2 hulk movies

I dunno. Seeing it in the theatre bumped it up to like 6.5/10 from 5 ish. There's no doubt its good, but it had plot issues and shit. I guess its still the best one of the franchise, although X2 is aclose second for me.
