streaming?

Sorry for my ignorance but can anyone please tell me what the point of streaming is? Do people really watch other people play for fun? To learn how to play a certain class? For proof? For raids? Anyone?

It's a new trend. Some people are entertaining/informative.

for some games it makes sense, and can be relatively entertaining/informative. Streaming MMOs however, I personally really fail to see the point, unless they're doing a certain boss/dungeon you were interested in learning. Exp grinding... not so fun

i enjoy watching people stream stuff while i'm camping mobs or just not able to do anything fun. Sometimes it interesting to see how others play the game more then just from verbal communication.

it can be fun to watch. sometimes players are doing something interesting, or sometimes the players themselves give interesting commentary.

i've actually enjoyed watching a few of them quite a bit, especially when i can be at a computer but am not playing.

I like most of them, OneKillQuota is a particularly good one to watch if you want to watch some P99 streaming.
