Question Faction tricks for questing

I'm trying to figure out how to do a quest with the Kerra, but I con threateningly to them - probably because I'm an Erudite. I tried notwithstanding and the NPC ate the item, so clearly I need higher faction somehow.

I already tried wolf form but they still conned threatening (and the Druid who very graciously assisted me became threatening after being indifferent when he donned wolf also).

Are there any other tricks short of puppet strings that I might be able to pull to get the Kerra to deal with me? Or does anybody know what minimum faction the quest requires?

(strangely, I can hail the NPC and get all of the quest text even while threatening, but the actual quest won't resolve)

Just found this gem on the wiki. Here is a list of places you can raise / lower the faction for that island

Right, there's always faction grinding as a last resort. But both because I don't know how much faction is required and because I don't particularly want to kill my Erudite brethren, I'm hoping to avoid that :x

As far as I'm aware, as long as you don't need above indifferent faction you can have an enchanter pal charm the NPC and walk them out to a safe spot to do the turn-in (charmed NPCs are always indifferent?) In other words, same idea as puppet strings but with another player involved. Heard people do this a lot of times for epic quests in order to bypass a lot of faction work.
