Okay this was very strange.

I logged into my 60 druid at Rotting Skeleton spawn in DL, and while running to KC I did a few /who "name" all to see if some friends were on. I then sent the command "/tell " (with just one space after the word tell" and I got a message "You told '[queued],'" I then received dozens of tells of "do I know you" "yes" "?" "hello?". After looking into it, all of these people I accidentally sent a tell to were in OASIS, while I was in Dreadlands. Never heard of this happening before...

Its happened to me twice... something about chaining game mechanical actions too fast, not sure of technicalities... some peeps have replicated it. The amount of tells u get when its zonewide is incredible, think soulfire x50, even worst when a GM broadcast sorry on behalf of your name

Not quite related, but I will talk:

On Tallon Zek, not long after Kunark release, I rolled a ranger I called 'Group'. The number of people who would type '/tell group' instead of '/g' was incredible.
