Default Started Playing

Played EQ from 99/2000ish through 2007. I lead Clan Werre on the Firiona Vie server. One of my guild officers, whom I've stayed in contact with over the years, started playing this the other day and immediately thought of me.

Everquest is like a drug, once you've had it, you want more. I guess it got the EverCrack name for a reason!

I have to say, I absolutely love this. EQ was fantastic back in the day. Corpse runs, long journeys across continents, etc. This is how an MMORPG should be. The game wasn't easy, and wasn't intended to be easy.

Plane of Knowledge made the EQ world small. I didn't mind the 15 minute timers on the spires when Luclin came out, but PoK really made crossing the world too easy.

I have to say, I'm impressed with Project 1999. It has reminded me why I fell in love with EQ.

Welcome! I remember seeing Clan Werre around, but don't think I really knew any of you other than Ruyen (think that's right, I suck with names), with whom I'd been in a small RP guild. I was a human monk named Tirocupidus on FV. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Ruyen was a great guy and a great ranger.

Bierp/Tellar (duel boxed Bierp the dwarf rogue and Tellar the barbarian warrior) is who got me into Project 1999.

Bierp eventually handed Tellar off to somebody else but I can't remember whom. I dual boxed Sampten and Nalamr (dark elf cleric).

Here's an official welcome! I'm new to the 99 as well, so hit me up if you ever want to group, I play mainly at night though.
