Default Auction Hot Key

I cannot figure out hot to put item links into my auction hotkey like everyone else seems to. >_<

I know how to post an item key into the text box and pass it over chat, but when I make my hotkey I have no clue hot to make the item link appear there.

I don't think people are using a hotkey. They're hitting shift+up to go through their sent messages and pressing enter.

I'm assuming putting item links in macros on emu is the same as live. IE kinda complicated and only worth it for gimmicky stuff (pull messages etc).

Edit: You shouldn't have to link 10 slot backpacks anyways. Most people will understand that they're backpacks, with 10 slots.

its easy ... turn logs on, link an item ... check the log file ... you will have some random looking text instead of the link ...

open your charactername_servername.ini (not the one with the UI in front) and edit one of your hotkeys ...

Quote:
Page2Button9Name=drag
Page2Button9Color=0
Page2Button9Line1=/target bla
Page2Button9Line2=/corpse
for example, now instead of "/target bla" use "/auc [item link scribble]" and save the text file, log back into EQ and you have a hotkey that will link that item in the auction channel ...

each item has individual IDs, so you will have to turn your /log on and copy paste the code for each item you want to have in your link for it to link to the right item ...

log doesn't log ID's of item links, it just converts it to plain text showing only the item name
