![]() Hey guys,
I started on red not too long ago, havent made it to grouping lvls yet but there are things im still wondering. I never read anything about the /ooc for this server and im not talking about the toxic... im talking about that /ooc seems serve wide. Is this true? My other question is about the EC, since /ooc is server wide? Does that mean there is no point for the EC tunnel when you can post your wares serverwide? And if it is still used, wouldnt it be a blood bath there since there is pontential of many chars with pp? The -4/+4 rule must help keep that down but im still worried about saving hard earn pp and having to dash to the bank to make sure i never lose it to only take it out and venture to buy better gear and get pvped killed and lose all the my pp. Am i worrying to much? This is all i was thinking about while saving bone chips. I imagine people would wait on the sides for me to finish a transaction then slay me asap the trade is done and take the pp. Or what if the seller wants to kill me, say im buying a 300pp sword so now the seller knows i have 300pp and also notices he can kill me, seems like nothing is stopping him killing me, taking my money and then trying to sell the sword to someone else knowing they jsust made 100% profit from me. Should I avoid trades for this reason and apperciate ungraded loot from dead mobs while lvling and having crap gear forever? Am i the only one who when i go to buy spells i am freaking out for my life in my pp? And i should of realised this when joining red... but Im seeing way more people at banks that wouldnt normally happen on blue. I realised seeing those people meant they must be camping the bank to kill noobs like me and take my very little pp. Is this true?... going to the bank is heart pounding compared to blue as im moving my cursor as fast as possible depositing my money in the bank just waiting for someone to beat me up and take my 1pp. I guess red really does put hair on you [You must be logged in to view images. ![]() Yes OOC is server wide so no one hangs out in EC.
I would recommend doing most trades at a bank where you can immediately deposit the money after the trade. If someone tries to get you do the trade elsewhere not near a banker then yes they are probably trying to rip you off. The people at the bank are probably just people's trading mules. Most people seem to use a low level mule so they can't get one shot due to damage caps/no weapon procs/no discs. Ganking lowbies for their 10pp at the bank isn't the most efficient money making method on this server where you can hit level 50+ in a few weeks if you are grouping. | ||

![]() Nfp is pretty much trading hub. Make a lvl 1 alt and use him for mule. If someone tries to gank you the guards will dirt nap them before they can kill you. If you have no friends to transfer to mule, ground transfer in a spot where no mobs are around. If you gota transfer plat, but rubys and you loose 10pp or so on every 120 pp or so.

![]() Freeport is the city of commerce. OOC = EC Auction. Anytime you see people advertising wares you can safely assume they're somewhere by North Freeport.
Carrying large amounts of platinum is a bad idea, but you're speaking truth that spell vendors aren't conveniently located next to bank. Lots of people will find a local merchant selling gems if forced to cross wilderness with a lot of cash and suffer the conversion cost. All that being said, you will find plenty of ocassions where you're making a beeline to a banker with a load of moolah on you. Just buff up, try for a SoW, and keep tapping that /who macro!

![]() There was a fixed non global OOC system but implementation failed and has not been revisited.
