Default Hard start.

I'm trying out red (Trying really hard to)

my parties keep getting perma broke up by twinks about every 20min. and am to poor/low level to go anywhere else right now.

Also is everyone a caster? Super hard to find someone to tank for a party around level 10ish.

So a few things I'm asking. Where should I be trying to level? (that would be twink stomped 4 times an hour)

What class should I start here that will be needed? (I like playing every class but a wizard and bard.)

Posting here to give the server one more shot before calling it. (Mostly b/c of the twinks that feel they need to kill true noobs over and over)

You don't need a tank to level up in Everquest. Don't stand next to mobs while you are attacking them. If you are a rogue I apologize.

You are most likely to get twink stomped in CB, Unrest and Mistmoore. That said this is where you're also going to find a lot of groups.

Which class are you? Yes, tanks are hard to find because they depend on gear. Always seems to be plenty of rogues and rangers though so pick one of them up.

Also most of the twink PKers only camp people who rage on them. YMMV

Play a tank if that's what you're having trouble finding. Paly's are great. You don't need to be heavily geared to be a good tank as a paly or sk. Try forming your own groups for off the path places thus avoiding the twinks.

Adventurer's Guide to Leveling
I was always curious if the true adventurer at heart could travel the whole of Norrath as they leveled without taking far too long to progress. This could be the answer! [1]
Here are the rules. Suggest a single zone and spot in said zone to level a single level after 10. This zone can only be used once, so if you see it on the list think of something different! The goal is to make a list of the ultimate journey where you and a friend can go and adventure while gaining a level in a different zone for each level from 10-60. We can do this, there's over 80 zones in Classic/Kunark!
No speculation, you actually have to have gained a level at a reasonable pace in the area you suggested with a un-twinked duo/group. For instance, a bad example would be suggesting City of Mist from level 24-25. Make it feasible so that a new player could take a friend to your spot and gain a level there. Can we create the ultimate leveling adventure? Will update with posts, I will start:

Level 41: Oasis (Specs or Sand Giants or DW goblins)
Level 42: Kedge (kill fish i guess, i always avoided this zone like the plague.)
Thats pretty much it for old world.. Using Kunark is cheating IMO.
Orruar

I have an alternate progression which doesn't require much travel between the zones, particularly in the earlier levels when travel is more dangerous and difficult. Once you get to 35+, travel is easier and so the gaps become larger. Many of these are probably not ideal, but I'm pretty sure they're all doable with a solid soloer or a decent duo/trio. Certainly some will be slow.

I think one of the most important things people don't think about on a pvp server is that the guy trying to kill you is a person not a computer AI.
Don't follow the same rules you do in pve. Don't sit at the zoneline to rest up, pull to. Find a new spot. Don't camp at Camp A,B,C, med up inside an orc tent or something. At least make them try to find you.
You're not gonna kill a level 10 twink in a fungi (yeah that one video is funny but its a full group + higher lvl buffs + the group is twinked themselves and they still only chase away the twink). Outsmart him. Hide, run different directions, fake zoning but stay and watch him run by, jump in the water and swim away. And if he kills you just call LNS and grab your body and go somewhere else.
The level 10 guy in a fungi is like the guy playing GTA on cheat mode blowing the shit out of everything. It probably is fun for a few but then gets boring. If you cry and whine you just make it more fun for them.
These twinks aren't that common anyways. You remember their names, when they come in the zone just be ready, move your group, stop pulling etc.

This is a player that is making the transition from blue to red. Would recommend reading this if you clicked this thread because you too are having a hard time.

just power through...

once you obtain a lvl in which you can join the end game raiding zerg guild you will no longer have to worry about pvp.

You will be showered with neverending dragon/god raids and be golden showered with pixels. If at any point someone does try to attack you rest assured there is atleast 5-10 pals to help you within 1 zone travel distance.
