Quest Issue: Dead Grimrot gone awol?

Is this quest still working as intended as I've been camping Lord Grimrot in SK for 3 weeks now for what must easily be 140 hours + and I've only seen about 6 live Lord Grims and no dead ones. Between myself and another cleric I've done from 9am GMT pretty much to midnight each day since Sat/Sun and he's been checking the other spawn times as EST getting his live just yesterday morning. Rather hoped I'd get a nice fat Christmas present but all I've achieved is a lot of clock watching while friends gained 12 levels on me.. please double check the spawns not broken as this is getting beyond funny now lol

Per an older post by a dev, live has an 8% spawn chance and dead has a 2% spawn chance. That is, on average, 160hrs per dead grimrot. If you've spent 140hrs or so and seen 6 live and 0 dead, you're still a bit under on hours and that's just for the average. Rng could easily skew that another 160hrs and it still not be significant deviation.

Yes it's that bad of a camp =/.

Yeah I know its a horrid camp, and the roll of the dice has me back at square 1 every single time the pop is due. I'm just reluctant to leave as the next persons going to come along after putting in 0 hours and get lucky or end up MQing it for 5k. Whats worst is there's nothing to do, 3h12m of just nothing for nothing rinse and repeat day in day out, not quite the enjoyable experience promised lol

No one said EQ was enjoyable. It was great when the spawn was 6 mins apart though:

you don't have to sit right there for the full 3 hours and 12 minutes.

Checked the spawn and it is working as intended, it's rare. Considering resolved.

Thanks for the positive feedback given guys :-) As I'm GMT time I find in the early hours I can play an alt once I have the PH time but as the zone fills you do end up trapped as there's always ppl walking by to see if the ph is up/camp is free. Trying to decide if to walk away after 3 weeks/180+ hours or stick it out for another 180 and another 180 hours of this thrilling working quest =) /need more coffee
