Default Mage pet weapons?

Does it matter what summoned weapons you give to a mage pet or do you just want to give any 2 weapons to make the pet duel wield?

Damage/delay does not matter. Magic weapons do up until a certain level.

So I have been told!

Also, to "force" your pet to dual wield at a lower level (maybe as low as 12 or 16), give him 2 weapons.

Does it matter if they use magic weapons past lvl 24? For instance attacking a wisp with rusty scimitars on pet means you can't hit it.

Your level 20 pet does not dual wield or quad. It is not in the code.
