Hello Everyone! My name is Justin, i am 26, and returning to the wonderful world of EverQuest after 10+ years. I played an Iksar Shaman named Charbuk on the Nameless Server for most of my childhood. I quit shortly after beating the OOW expansion, went back briefly when EQ turned FTP and was disgusted. I loved EQ before SOE took over. I was excited when my friend told me about eq emu and project 1999 yesterday. Today i am installing.

My goal is late game raiding, since i never got to raid until POK i missed out on all the old dragons. I take it the Blue server would be easier to find late game raiding guilds? With having said that, is there a lack of any certain class on the server? I don't want to roll a shaman to find out there is a over population problem. I don't mind being a team player.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Classes that level a bit slower are less popular to play, xept icky monks that seems very popular even though they level slower than any non-large hybrid. Shaman seem to be the single most popular class to play at all levels. when it comes to groups most of them seems to be asking for either tank, DPS or healers so if you can fulfil that role you'll definitely get in the action.

I can confirm that most higher end guilds are looking for Shamans. It's like several of the other classes on here... People love playing them up to 60, but then they don't want to log them in and buff people for the raids later. =D

Enjoy the journey to 60, the raiding scene here can be very umm... interesting.

Ya basically what he is trying to tell you that unless you live in your grandmothers basement, collecting unemployment and have the ability to wake up any giving hour in the morning without worrying about calling in sick or losing your job (which is really I guess the most important part)... you might as well get it in your head that raiding on this server is very difficult if you are going to be a somewhat casual player. I came here thinking just like you and read post after post about the raiding system here. Youre basically asking to waiting in line at the EQ DMV where everyone is yelling at everyone else about dragon pixels. Its not impossible but you are at the end of a very, very long line.

Besides the raiding, this server is really fun.

I just realised that someone will responde to my text saying go red (which is what I play). Red raiding is still ummm... interesting...
