![]() As an Ogre Shaman I trained alchemy when I hit 25. It trained me to 25 skill. I'm now 26 and attempted my first potion, and when I combined it I received the message of "You have gotten better at Alchemy (10)." I thought, this may have been just a way for them to set the skill back the way it was in classic (never played a shaman that long ago) and that it was only supposed to start at skill level 9 or 10. Going back to the GM shaman, I train the skill back up to 21, where I can't increase it anymore from the guildmaster. I attempt another potion, it fails. I attempt another, and get the message "You have gotten better at Alchemy (10)." I look at the trainer and my skill points are still gone from training the skill up.

![]() update: I've done about 10 or so combines now without training my skill up again at the trainer (10 skill) with no skill increases. The skill, at least on this character, may be broken.
Edit: Well, read the patch notes for this morning patch and I suppose that's working as intended. Any shaman with a higher skill than their level cap right now: DO NOT attempt a non-trivial combine with alchemy. If you skill-up, you will be bumped back down to your cap. | ||

![]() If that is actually the case...that means that at level 50 the cap would be 130....which would make all of the port potions and other higher level potions un-combinable.
