I know like, jack shit about Velious. Was still a kid who just wanted to explore all the zones in norrath when this shit was out.

Question- What kind of shit should a guy be doing to prepare for winter? Do any factions transfer that are very useful? Trade-Skills? Etc?

IIRC, velious has its own faction. they are indifferent to everyone across the board.

Just join a guild with 100+ zerglings and you shouldn't have to worry about much, or even think for that matter.

At minimum, get your pottery up to 122 for Vial of Velium Vapors. That's a Coldain quest, so if they don't fix sneak dialogue questing you might need to be pals w/ dwarves.

Required trade skills for the "epic" Velious quests are on these pages. The brewing part for ring can be done by someone else. The shawl combines have to be done by yourself.

first ring quest is making a blanket for a dwarf, do that quest twice so you have a nice blanket.
