Default Iksar Monk/Troll Shaman Duo - Factioning

A friend and I are planning on rolling an Iksar Monk and Troll Shaman for so duoing when we're online together. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to overcome the faction issue? Would it be easier for us to grind faction to use Freeport for training/banking needs or for me to grind Iksar faction?

I've never really played an evil race before, so this is my first time worrying about it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Thanks!

If your friend is a monk they can bank or shop anywhere through sneak / FD. Think about where you want to bank and plan on that.

FP isn't too bad if you can help on Sir L kills in WFP.

Move the troll to Kunark. The monk won't need much coin for spells, but he can buy the shaman's spells for him in Cabilis.

Nothing beats Kunark 1-20 (and arguably stay there to 30, head to WW or Lake of Ill Omen).

If going the other way, have the monk move to Innothule Swamp...do outside of Guk up to level 6-7 and then head into Upper Guk, plenty to do in and around that area.

Opening a merchant or banker and dropping on the floor only works if you have adequate enough faction for them to deal with you.

I may be incorrect, but I believe bankers need positive faction, correct?

Can wall bank in North Freeport among other places...works best if you can invis in and out. That should make banking on the troll easy.

(wall banking: being in range of a banker, but behind a wall where he can't see you)

If its a bank thats hard to wall bank in (say... Highkeep) then a FD will do fine if you stay in clickable range.

Negatory, you just need to be out of their sight. My monk is KOS to the bankers in FP, but I click them through the wall and it works. You could also use sneak while behind them to get the same effect. You can FD after the bank window is open to avoid getting attacked while you're busy moving stuff around. Clicking the banker while FD'd *does* break FD, you can be agro'd.

I would stay near Cabilis because as mentioned above the iksar can buy the shaman spells. Also the monk will need to train skills and he can only do that in cab. So stay near Cabilis.

Hadn't thought of that...definitely a pain to keep going back to Cabilis to train, check the wiki for training levels.. there's a lot.
