Default Mage Bolts on Slopes!?

So they recently "fixed" mage bolts. But I've been experiencing a issue.

If you are standing on a slope with a mob slightly down the same slope from you.
Cast a bolt spell at said mob, the bolt travels through the air, curves down to the mob &
no damage is done, not even a message.

I believe this is due to how they're handling line of sight with the "fix"

However!

If you are standing on a slope with a mob slightly up the same slope from you.
Cast a bolt spell at said mob, the bolt travels up the slope to the mob & damage is done!

Is this classic or should I be putting in a bug report?

Just something i've noticed, but having levitate on seems to have fixed nearly all of my issues with bolts and slopes/inclines.

Maybe it's a short race thing?

During live there was a bug. If you were on a zone wall and the mob was at the bottom of the wall or out a little from the wall, your bolt would shoot down, then curve down steep right at the end and do double damage.

I believe P99's Devs fixed this but broke it too. I am unsure....

Only a Dev/Admin can chime in to address this for sure.
