[New] Microsoft Surface 3 Tablet

My original intent was to necro (pun!) an old thread I came across, sadly it was locked.

Microsoft recently announced these tablets:

Was thinking about getting one for the wife, and was wondering whether or not it would play p99. I kind of assumed as long as its a Windows 8 machine it would work, but reading through previous threads lead me to believe that I am incorrect. Anyone care to share some of their spare knowledge?
