Default Hiya! I'm new and looking for groupies and friends!

Hi there, my name's Chris and I originally played EQ a long time ago back when I was a teenager and Kunark had just come out. Since then, I've played a little bit of EQ and EQ2 on and off over the years.

I have the basic mechanics down, and I'm fairly familiar with newbie zones like Crushbone and Blackburrow. However, I'm still 90% noob. My big draw towards EQ is undoubtedly the grouping aspect. Achieving things together as a team is always a lot of fun.

I'll be making my first P1999 character soon under the name Aerlix. This character will be either a bard or an enchanter.

Is anyone interested in any of the following:
1. Forming a static group
2. Becoming mutual friends who try to group together regularly
3. Inviting me to their guild that has low level players that enjoy grouping together
4. Milk and cookies

See you guys serverside! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Hey Chris, welcome! A lot of people would love to really go from the start again not knowing a lot of what they've learnt or relearnt here... so enjoy that fresh feeling!

What are your typical play times? I'm in Europe so most likely won't be able to link up with you but having those posted would give others a chance to know if they'd fit your schedule.

Bards/enchanters are highly desirable as I'm sure you remember so you'll have no problems getting a group if you can't find a static group. Look up guilds like Knights Who Say Ni among many others who take in lowbies... having a good guild to help you find groups will really get things moving if you cant find one in a particular zone.

Good luck wherever you start, the adventure begins [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Well met Chris

You're Stateside I am assuming?

I'd love to join you & get a regular group going, but I'm a Brit & the days of staying up all night having fun are long gone I'm afraid. If you're a Night Owl however, it's something we could work with.

Welcome Aboard. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Yeah Crushbone and Blackburrow are really good zones to level in. Old school stuff for sure. Good choice on your part.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am stateside, and my most common play times are between 8pm and midnight cst. That said, my play schedule varies due to work unfortunately. Heh, I guess that makes a static group out of the question.

Really I find that's the thing I love about eq, you don't need a status group, hop on and lfg in the zone and usually within minutes I'm in a group. Yup and there it is, I've been living in crushbone so stop by and say hi! Could be on Fima or Talira. Cheers!
