Default The Hole

So does anyone know an effective way to break The Hole entrance camp as an enchanter? I was having issues with that when i went there but ive seen other people do it with relative ease. Is there a trick to it? I have tried calming and I always end up getting another add or 2 or 3 and it becomes a huge mess.

Calm the second row of mobs and one mob in the first row. Time it so the roamer in the center is roaming away. Tag the nearest un-calmed mob and he will come solo. Pet him. Do the calm thing again and pull from the nearest row again. Now you've got a pet and a mob for him to fight. Keep them out of line of sight of the roamer or he'll agro when he roams close.

Keep doing this pulling one at a time until it's clear. You should be able to clear the whole entrance hall before any start repopping, but if you're killing slower just ignore the two flanking the steps at the far end.

I use lull for and it works just fine.

lull the first 4. then charm the roamer so you don't have to worry about how/when it paths. pull your pet back towards where you jump out of the water and park it there. use a rune to start if you are having trouble otherwise berserker strength should be fine if root breaks. pull target back towards your pet, backing it off so it doesn't run into the entrance hallway.

root target and throw a cheap slow if you want to ensure it dies first, your choice.

timer is about 20 minutes

For me calm did not work well at lvl 49. It was resisted often and had a high enough chance to critical resist that breaking the ent was tedious and I gave up.

Went back at 52 and it has been pretty easy. Calm rarely is resisted and have yet to have a crit resist. But I have only broken it a few times at 52.

The level of the spell doesn't matter when it comes to resists - theres only level and magic resist checks. Charisma is important for crit resists, but level is the big factor you should be concerned with. There's a big difference level to level in your 50s as far as spell resists are concerned. Calm is a great spell in the mesmerize line because it has excellent duration.
