Default EQ2 PVP/PVE locked progression server coming next month

So I guess they are gonna try to put out two progression servers for eq2. One PVP one PVE.

https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq2...d-more.560706/

I am excited for PVP server, eq2 had some very fun and engaging pvp situations.

anyone else interested in this? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

pve is whatever, pvp is pretty great if you play with a group since there is alot of class synergy.

thats what I am saying. IM wondering how pvp will be during DoV if the server stays populated. Should be fun doing the public quests haha.

How, if at all, was 2 better than 1. How was the PvP better?

2 and 1 are not the same. Its different. I like 1, I play p99. I like eq2, and if a TLP was offered, i would play that too. one is not better than the other. Its nostalgic for me. EQ2 really wet my pallet for MMOs in general. EQ2 was tough at first with corpses and group exp debt, but was soon removed for the ease of play.

EQ2 (classic) is great. EQ1 (p99) is great. The versions of those games in the form they exist today are not fun for me.

EQ2 all the way.

I think the raids are better in eq2. Quests are better. As for PVP the open worldness of pvp is pretty good in all tiers of eq2. The class system works well for pvp if balanced. 24 classes each with its own strengths in pvp. Alot more combinations with group set up so it makes group v group kind of like chess, combined with some twitch game play.

I've always been very interested in what EQ2 was like when it was released, as I've never played it. I would be interested in giving this a go if we got a guild or a group together.

Will it suffer from EQ syndrome, and thus have some of the old zones (there was like one unified newbie zone, right) removed as they are now?
