Default Boat from Freeport to Butcherblock

Currently the boat that crosses the Ocean of Tears only ever moves as if it is always leaving Butcherblock and heading TO Freeport. Is there any time in the future when the pathing for the boats will differ depending upon where the boat is starting from, like the actual game, or was this disregarded as it only has a negative impact on the game for those going to Sister island?

In the original game there were 2 boats alternating. This allowed only a 15 minute wait instead of the current 30 minutes.

No, in the original game it was like it is here now. One boat, reversed route. Come Kunark the boats were patched to have 2 independant routes, with correct headings. This topic excists at least 100 times on this forum.
