Default Hybrid xp change

Does anyone remember or know what will happen to existing hybrid chars when the xp penalty goes away? Will they suddenly gain levels by sliding along a shorter exp table or will they stay in place at their current level?

The hybrid xp penalty doesn't go away it just doesn't split among the whole group. It happens about a month or 2 into velious i think.

No, it goes away. It also stops splitting among the group.

This is how I understood the change. Basically, when it goes into effect, your received exp gets multiplied by your penalty and balances out to what a 1x exp table person would receive. Group exp gets split on basis of level, not total exp. And Racial penalties will always be yours to cherish, but not shared with group. You won't see your exp bar compensated or anything, but leveling will go more quickly.

Yup, that's how it works.

If you're only interested in turning over a counter, and doing so solo, I'd suggest a different game, or even investing in one of these:

It's just a suggestion, not an order [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]. Continue sweating xp penalties if that is how you enjoy the game.
