Default My Ranger

My ranger now has his Silver Swiftblade and a full set of Banded Armor. He has reached Level 9 and has all his lvl 9 spells.

What should be next on his shopping list?

Can't argue with that suggestion. Get a Good Bow next. Pretty much the most used item a Ranger will ever use other than great weapons. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Just made one also. He just hit lvl 10 .. again. So i'm following this same advice.

Just wanted to add that a pair of "magic" boots might help. for kicking mummies and getting revenge on ghouls. I think the rings are more important though. i'm still looking for the rings myself.

Runed Oak Bow from named centuars in SKarana is a fantastic bow for its price. Really not going to be replacing it until you can get Trueshot or Rain caller.

If you want a bit of a challenge you can catch the boat to FV and run to Traks Teeth and try to loot a spectral bow. My level 1 blue ranger has one heh.

If you want really cheap magic boots, pick up some Blackened Iron Boots. You can sometimes find them on vendors in Rivervale or Misty Thicket.

Just looking at the quests there is a fair bit of plat involved. Some of the pieces are fairly decent (chest/arms) but I wouldn't pay 200+p in gems for the quest.

I did the ivy etched quests on my ranger, but that was pre-velious. I've started another ranger and I think I'll skip most of the quests this time around. The gem cost can be pretty significant. Velious drops like Ry'gorr will hopefully free up some ivy etched pieces for cheap.

Of course, if you want to experience the quests, then by all means go for it.
