One is the cost of casting the spell (300) One is an effect from the spell (-750 drain) Basically, the spell does two things for everyone in your group. Evacuate them to entrance, and as a penalty, drain their mana. Torpor had a similar mana drain per tick in early Kunark (-50/tick). Unfortunately P99 never got to enjoy that extremely classic version of Torpor. The spell is way more balanced when it drains 200 mana on whoever it's casted on.

![]() yep, there is mana to use and then an additional mana cost that everyone in the group (including the caster) must pay. If you are not the caster pay attention the next time you get succored and you will see that you take a mana hit.
