 | You should review the Ruger 10/22 with tech sights.

 | I have done some bird hunting.. Just shotgun stuff. I prefer a remington 1100 with a 28-30 inch barrel and a full choke for distance on geese.. not much use vs teal or bufflehead tho unless yer a crack shot or extremely lucky [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

 | I'm not a huge hunter or anything - just enjoy shooting. Currently I only have a 1911 and a Sig 556. Next purchase will probably be a large bore bolt action rifle of some sort. Really want something like a .338 Lapua, but will probably end up snagging a Rem 700 in 300 win mag or something. Reviews aren't really my thing, but I cannot recommend quality 1911's more highly. Such a superbly crafted firearm. I also am a big fan of the Sig in terms of hobbyist shooting, however, it's a bit bulky and cumbersome for my taste in any sort of tactical scenario. Honestly, I'd probably take a regular old M4 over a 556 just because it is ~2-3 lbs lighter and much simpler to field strip/clean (although you don't have to clean the 556 as often, which is a plus). In really dusty situations, the 556 is definitely a more reliable weapon though. So yea, a lot of trade offs between the two. I'm on the verge of writing a full on comparison so I'll just stop. | ||

As far as favorite guns I'm more of a pump action shotgun and bolt action rifle type of guy. I'm not big into automatic or semi auto. I picked up a remington .308 about a year ago but I haven't even put a round through it yet. | |||

 | Well shoot if we're showing off, I'll add mine. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] 10 Rounds with a 22 and 10 rounds with a 9mm at 18 feet, 2008 I think?
