![]() I have been using Sword of Skyfire 10/22 now level 1-30. Any suggestion on a one hander sword usable by SK that is a few steps better but not costing more than 200-600 pp ish
I dont have lots of PP.. so Im just looking for a step better. Perhaps even someone got one for sale?

![]() I'd keep using sword of skyfire till it procs at 45. You can save up a bit more plat and get a mace of the shadowed soul or a noctivigant blade.

![]() If you are guilded, well even if youre not, try to make your way over to Velks during prime time hours. The Sword of Pain rotts from the "dog pits" quite frequently. Communicate with a group down there and let them know your intentions, be in place and with a little luck you will be good until 60 with this sword.
http://wiki.project1999.com/Sword_of_Pain I was able to snag one at lvl 30 - bring a charged WC cap, a CT pot or some other self-port item - you wont be able to run out. Any exp lost to gain this weapon is worth it. Send me a tell if you need help with transport and I happen to be online.

![]() Any reason you want to stick to a 1h? A good shield? 30 is when your damage cap full drops so you might be able to find a good 2her to work on your skill ups.
But yeah like lartanin63 said Skyfire doesn't NEED to be replaced till it procs. Options: http://wiki.project1999.com/Deathbringer%27s_Rod http://wiki.project1999.com/Throneblade_of_the_Ykesha (Stretching your budget but good): http://wiki.project1999.com/Green_Jade_Halberd

![]() Yeah perhaps I better change to a 2h sword instead, I mostly tank small groups or duo thats why I wanted to keep shield but with a 2 hander they prob go down faster anyway?

![]() Depending on your race you probably need a shield for bash? It's less important in a full group, but solo or duo those bashes add up.

Bash damage is irrelevant, a shield is equipped for the interruption ability and extra AC.

![]() Yeah. I wasn't talking about bash damage. That's why I brought up race. Interrupting a spell is almost always worth it.
In a full group you're main role would be to tank, most likely. In that regard, the AC helps and bashing makes for less deaths/down time. If you're able to slam/bash the AC vs. extra damage isn't usually worth a shield. In a duo or small group, you're responsible for more of the damage. Conversely, if that spell lands you have less room for error. Depending on the classes you group with, they might be able to interrupt the spells better; they might not. You want to be as efficient as possible, which usually means you need to adapt as the situation changes.
