![]() Hey all!
I just rolled a character here last weekend with a friend of mine. I'm an SK and he is. Shaman. We wanted a great duo pair and they seemed like a pretty legit combo. My character name is Cotilion and I just wanted to say hello. I played EQ during Kunark and Velious years ago but I really don't remember any of it. It's fascinating to see how much I forgot! So far the community has been outstanding and I'm loving every minute of it. The only real question I have is, what do people do to gain platinum at low levels? I'm having a hard time getting myself armor. The raw hide drops in befallen have been a decent upgrade (not to mention the accessories and weapons people have just handed me!! Couldnt believe it). Thanks guys and I just wanted to say hi and if you see me in game don't hesitate to strike up a conversation! Cheers, Cotilion | ||

![]() Farm bone chips and high quality bear skins. The chips can sell for 10pp a stack I believe and the bear skins can go for around 30 to 35pp each. Welcome, I just started playing as well. Level 9 shaman here, hit me up if you ever need a third[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] my shamans name is Shamanana

![]() Yeah, bone chips and pelts are a good way to get money. I wouldn't worry "too much" about gear though. That's more important soloing, and you'll be duoing or forming a group I imagine 100% of the time?
Eventually you'll have saved enough, or are high enough level that you can get some decent stuff (banded, for example, is only 90p.) Also, if you pick your camps well, you can fear kite if the shaman needs to med for a second as a plan B. Your plan A is shaman slow is insanely powerful. [You must be logged in to view images. ![]() Farming bear skins is a great way to get some starter plat. Sell 3 and you will be able to buy a full set of banded which will help a ton. Also consider Flayed Skin armor if you are a Human/Erudite some of the pieces are not bad! You won't need much spell money as an SK so you can primarily focus on gear. Welcome to the server!
