Default A couple of questions for people using Parallels

Hi, I had been using a bootcamped Windows 7 partition since September, but I got parallels for Christmas and decided to switch to XP to save space and hardware resources since the only thing I need Windows for at the moment is to play Project 1999. I've been loving it so far and almost everything is working how I want it, but there are still 2 quirks that I can't seem to figure out, and since I know a bunch of you use Parallels to play I figured that you must have ran in to the same issues and have a quick/easy fix for them.

Problem numero uno: If I try to play the game in Coherence view (windowed, not fullscreen) as this is the view I would prefer, the graphics just feel choppy and weird. I believe this has something to do with my Windows screen resolution being set to something awkward (iirc parallels sets it to 1920x964 instead of 1920x1080). I say that because when I've ran the vm in the Window mode and try to run the client both with the Windows machine resolution matching my client resolution and not matching my clients resolution, whenever I use a resolution that doesn't match that of my client I get similar lag issues. What I would like to be able to do is tweak what resolution Windows is running at in Coherence mode on my Mac to make it mirror my games resolution, because I think this would fix my lag issue. I'm not sure if this is possible however, so maybe somebody who's been running Parallels for awhile can enlighten me?

Problem numero dos: When in Window view, and my game fullscreened, whenever I right click on an area that doesn't have a right click action (i.e. if I click the ground this happens, if I click a corpse it doesn't) my mouse is stolen and I can only mouselook until I right click again. This is really annoying, and I was wondering if there was a way to disable this? Thanks for your responses.

Edit: Just thought I would add that I did try Wineq2 to maybe help while running in Windowed mode under Cohrence view, but to no avail.

Switch to Windows 7 instead of Windows XP, it won't use all that much more resources (the memory management in 7 is good) and will likely rid you of any strange compatibility glitches like you're experiencing, since the Parallels 6 3D rendering is always tweaked for the latest and greatest windows and old driver emulation paths get deprecated.

Runs decently on a 2009 MacBook Pro (2.26GHz) with 4 gigs of RAM, allocating 1.5GB of RAM to the Windows 7 environment. I have windowed mode set to 1152x720 (due to the dock being in the way), which is what I play in when I'm in Coherence mode, otherwise I just full screen it at 1280x800.

So you're saying that neither of the issues I discussed are happening for you under Windows 7? Do you ever play in Window view? I will test changing my resolution to try and get it working under coherence mode.

Well I fixed one of my issues and figured I would post the solution here incase anyone else ends up having the same issue.

To stop the mouse from sticking I turned my VM off and went into Virtual Machine > Configure > Options > Advanced and set "Smartmouse" from "auto" to "on".

Now the only issues I have are my mouse scroll not working like I want it to, and my mouselook is WAY too sensitive.. any ideas how to fix the mouselook issue?
