You may not have been aware of this, but today is National Coming Out Day, also known as (NCOD) a National Holiday for us in the LGBTQ community.


For the uninitiated and the unaware, "coming out" means the voluntary self-disclosure of one's sexual orientation and/or gender identity. If you can't understand the importance of such a disclosure in 2016, I am not going to waste any time explaining such-- you are firmly on your own.

You are all welcome to know that you are an American on this day first and foremost.


I know we have at least two or more new members in recent months that I'd like to personally congratulate on their decision to share their orientation with the masses on these very forums.
