![]() I was just thinking, there has to be cool and fun camps that a necro can solo. I find we often get hung up on the impressive feats of shamans and enchanters. How about some necro love?
If anyone can think of some fun, cool or unique locations that necrose can really exploits speak up and share. If you want to link the loot that you get as a result of some of these camps, feel free as well.

![]() I'm actually somewhat interested in this. I'm not so much interested in raiding end game so pushing the limits of what I can solo seems like something that I'd be into.
I'm 59 right now. I did Crystal Eyes and Lower Frenzy in Velks while collecting threads for the shawl quest. Both of them aren't too bad and have some nice drops. Crystal Spider Eyes drop off Crystal Eyes and might be an upgrade for some necros. Been working my way through HS. North is pretty easy, but not a lot of great drops there. Boss in North is an undead necro with a pet, so I'd recommend charming him to make him lose his pet and then let his buddies in the room murder him for you. I've taken some lumps as I learn my way through West, but I'm starting to get a good feel for it now. Breaking in is the toughest part for me. I haven't gone back to the boss of West yet but have downed the other nameds. Supposedly they are also in north, but (in my limited sample size) I only ever recall seeing The Spectre Sepulcher in West, who drops the Adamantite Club which sells for about 4k. Haven't gotten one of those yet though. I'm hoping to try to solo in South eventually. I'm expecting to get my ass kicked by the summoners, but I have to at least try. I'd be interested in hearing what else people have done.

![]() Do you just root rot in Velks?

![]() Yep, mainly, although I'd get the pet involved too. Heal pet with shadowbond and then heal myself with vexing morodina. But I always tried to keep the mob rooted and tried to stay a long ways from it.
Also some of the spiders are rogues so don't turn your back to them if they do get in on you.

![]() PoM AiW4 Halflings I think is the hardest camp I've soloed on a necromancer.
It's just not fun on that class compared to the easy mode a Druid, enchanter or shaman has. You need to do a 4-5 DoT stack on the mob, maintain shadowbonds on your pet, and then tap tank the final 50% of the mob. Even with solid gear the fight can be a toss up many times. A few push or bash interrupts on your Lifetap tanking and you're dead. Usually it requires the Halflings flees at the end when you run out of mana. This is for a necro without much real raid gear (though I do have epic, everything else is bought or PoSky/HoTesting type quality). I don't have a PoHate pet book though and I hear this makes a decent difference in your pets capability of tanking and DPSing these Halflings. Most necro solo camps you would do with summoning mobs just aren't worth the time and effort you have to put in to kill the mobs. Yea you can cap tank most named mobs up to around 55~ if you can get them single and have full mana, a full life pet and decent gear. but it's just not worth it when you could just easy mode slow a mob and send a charmed pet on a mob as an enchanter then AFK for 2min come back to free loot.

![]() Indeed, but if it doesn't break, its just an AFK til victory.
A weaponized hasted charmed Grenn or Brenn even the AiW1 versions, will kill most any solo mob in mischief excluding the obvious Puppets, Stomples and Horses. So most fights go as I mentioned, maybe with a tash/slow to start. Whereas necro you're having to cycle between 12-13 different spells, summoning a pet and leading into every fight in AiW4 with full mana and maybe a rune depending on your gear and even then it can still be sketchy.
