halfling rogue exp bonus?

I know halflings get +5% racial bonus.

Rogues get +9%.

So what's the total bonus for a halfy rogue?

It seems simple but I read in the p1999 faq that bonuses are multiplied and NOT added... I am too stupid to figure out exactly what this means.

1.05X1.09 = X ????

You've got it right I think. It's about 14.5%.

doesn't matter cause later on they can't solo effectively, so their bonus is added to the groups xp

5% bonus and a 9.5% bonus... .95 * .905 = .85975. It takes a halfing rogue 85.975% as much xp to level as a human cleric.

Effectively, all race/class EXP bonuses and penalties are spread throughout the group so that everyone levels at the same pace.
