Default Currently in OT, how many braids would me a iksar necro require?

I am asking this here, since I tried googling and couldn't really find anything... but I remember maybe either here or the wiki I read somewhere that being a necro iksar would mean I would need less since I'm evil.

I am currently lvl 40 and am leveling in OT and figure that while I'm here and killing berserkers I might as well save the braids to turn them in when my inv or weight has reached its limit.

I am asking here how many braids do you think I will need to go from kos to amiably to then maybe do the OT hammer quest - to get it early instead of having to wait till 60 to charm it?

You can charm him at like 51-52, can just take a few tries, get someone to snare him and charm until it sticks.

As a necro you will most likely hunt in HS and ruin your OT faction anyway, so I wouldn't work too hard to build it.

So I can actually charm him at 51-52, I thought maybe I had to be 60 to charm it myself... since I think isnt there a lvl lock to like 51 mobs for the undead charm spell and the guy is 55?

Anyways if I do take the charm route, I may still turn in the braids since it is decent xp. I managed to turn in 2 so far and gotten like 2-3% per turn in, and this is a hell lvl.

edit: also I'm not strickly farming for them either, if I see a berserker while im say killing the other mobs there then I'll attack it - so for me it is more of a bonus then anything.

Foreman isn't 55, I charmed him in the high 40s with the level 39 charm song as a bard (max level 51).

That is good to know, I guess I thought maybe he was 55, but maybe I got confused with the braid guy? and I remember hearing from some other people that they said you had to wait till higher level to charm him.

edit: maybe that could be why ppl wanted to say do it a higher lvls so you get less resists?

This exactly, like I was saying in my last post. I'm not strickly going for the braids but it is a decent bonus for when I kill some so then I get the bonus xp when I turn them in to the skeleton captain.

and this will help me get out of this hell lvl I guess.

no clue as to # of braids

I would see if an ench can help you root and tash him stand very close then charm turn in jade and run away.

really any root class is enough for you to do it at 50/51 it's just riskier the lower you are and if they don't have a resist debuff

weve played together a few times if we end up getting together I can hop on my bard and snare slow and OOS and you should be able to stick whatever charm you got.

Charm will work on necro. You can't proc the hammer until lvl 50 anyways...its super easy to do alone by that level. just charm, hand in, FD.

As a 54 chanter I had charm resist on the foreman twice before it landed. Just use jboots/sow pots and kite him around in the field til it lands.
