Game Mechanics: Enchanter Pet

I've noticed that you cannot give enchanter pets weapons. I am unsure if this is the case for other pets but in classic eq, you could give the enchanter pets weapons to increase his damage output. This could be because of how pets work now (having a pet table refer to npc_types) but I am unsure.

I don't think you were able to give chanter summoned pets weapons until their 20th or 24th level pet. I am only level 12, so no idea if you can here or not. What level did you try this at?

This doesn't seem to be working even at later levels. I attempted it with the lvl 39 pet a while ago and you cannot see the weapon graphic and if you give them a slashing weapon and a blunt weapon you do not get any messages about the attacks alternating.

I tried it at level 8 but I think it doesn't matter. I tried giving a weapon to someone elses pet higher level and it didn't make a difference. It isn't the 'worse' bug and it may not be easily fixable but it's a bug none-the-less. I liked giving different weapons as it would effect their damage. Charming isn't a bad idea but giving weapons is helpful if you aren't charming yet.
