Default Lightning Blast resist rate

Since patch tonight: Snared 3 mammoths in everfrost, first cast of Lightning Blast no problem, then 4 straight resists on all 3 mammoths. Was naked and oom so couldn't test further, but something is amiss, perhaps range of target an issue, as casts were at long range after first cast?

Quadded Seafuries got them down to about 10%, then I had 4 full resists in a row then a few where just 1 landed. This seems to be broken ish?

Are mobs getting more resistant as they get lower on HP or something?

I think Haynar's been playing around with the aoe spell code and some stuff intended for the rain spells crept over to the column spells.

According to this archive link, http://web.archive.org/web/200108210...as/aerain.html you can't get a killshot from a rain spell. To be honest it seems a little suspect to me. I don't ever remember the part about 100% resistance from rains at low hp, but my highest level wizard was only 15 on live. Maybe this code is still intact on the EQMac server. In any case, it shouldn't be applied to columns.
