Soloing doesn't start really working well until 14. Just use Snare and DoTs, and run around, or you could root and sit. Always snare.

This solo guide is for necro's, so unfortunately only #3 and #4 are available to you as a druid:

Once you get to kiting, one thing to remember is that you can time your med tick and sit during it so that you get the full benefit of medding without having to root.

Just my opinion but unless you are quad kiting, root rot tends to be a lot easier and just as efficient. The moment you miss a tic or 2 of medding because you didn't sit down in time during a kite you might as well have used a root spell and sat the entire time.

IF you do it perfectly every time you do use somewhat less mana per kill by kiting but don't forget that our root doubles as direct damage as well so it's really doing double duty for us.

Also, when a mob is low on HP but rooted when your dots wear off move into melee range and let your DS finish it off. It's amazing how much mana you can save if you take advantage of being DS'd.

Group till level 14.

With full mana, pick your target, then snare, root, cast whatever DoT spells you have a the time, sit until root breaks. Repeat.

I'd love it if we could get some more input here if somebody has the time, please. I am curious about some specifics of mid/high level druid kiting.

What Druid DoTs stack up to level 40? Referencing this list here, is it possible to combo Stinging Swarm + Creeping Crud + Immolate? Are you supposed to also nuke when kiting, or is it best to stick to DoTs? Is Fear kiting a better alternative to Snare kiting? When is it best to use Root instead of Snare? What are the key spell/technique differences between single kiting and quad kiting?

Sorry about the plethora of questions. Just looking for some clarity. I've always played melee classes. Thanks, guys!
